In my batch and institute, I was one of the first students to go for a top-up year in Northumbria after doing my HND (Higher National Diploma). The experience in the UK was overwhelming. There was a lot to look forward to and a lot to learn from. I however had a keen interest in retailers offering branded apparels as I wanted to establish a business in fashion industry back in Pakistan. Once I had completed my bachelors degree, I opted for a masters programme and got admission in MSc Marketing. That further enhanced my qualification and also gave me more time to learn as much as I could from the UK.

Deciding to go for a degree in a foreign institute has been the turning point of my career. I wanted to acquire knowledge and the skill to successfully manage a business which eventually led to the field of business studies in Northumbria University. Newcastle Business School did not disappoint me and very soon I realized that the education system over here forces you to work hard.
